About Rockin’ the Ridge Music Festival
The Festival is the Music
For many years the City of Dry Ridge held a very famous festival know as “Court Day“. One of many famous traditions that came from the festival was the inclusion of musical acts. Many artists performed including Skeeter Davis and Tom T. Hall. Sadly, after many successful years the Court Day Festival was canceled.
In 2016, the city vowed to bring back the festival. Since Court Day can never be like the festival of old, a new name and tradition is required. Rockin’ the Ridge was born. A play on words to describe the music festival and spectacular fireworks show that follow the events to cap off the day of activities. Rockin’ the Ridge, held in Piddle Park and Downtown Streets, will host a variety of musical artists, a world class car show, family activities and spectacular fireworks show. The car show, that takes place on the downtown streets, kicks off the day at noon with the awards ceremony shortly after judging. And the music festival gates open at 2 pm. Many top artists along with locally known bands. We plan on adding different musical genres over time. Space is limited but we can accommodate one main stage and one smaller stages. A music festival will run all year but it culminates the last weekend of June each year.
